Dr. Adam Richards
Head of Enterprise Data Science at Galvanize
He builds, mentor and manage data science professionals. From the ideation stages of the data product life-cycle to the monitoring and scaling of deployed solutions. He works closely with data scientists, data engineers, full-stack developers, end-users, business stakeholders and more to ensure solutions are well-built, scalable and customized. In this profession they tend to have preferred models and tools---among them he finds probabilistic programming, ensemble models, and deep neural networks to be among the most useful. Another re-occurring theme to his work is the use of high-performance computing---either through GPU specific technologies like RAPIDS or via Spark. Most importantly though, He is forever passionate about all things data and he is committed to building useful integrated systems that embrace the best tools for the job.
